Topic:
"Music: The Initial Uses in Medicine and
New Applications in Geriatric Patients"

Presenter:
Lessley Chiriboga, M.D., M.P.H.
UT Southwestern Medical Center,
Assistant Professor of Psychiatry

Dr. Chiriboga is currently a part of the
Geriatric Team with the UT Southwestern
Psychiatry Multi-subspecialty outpatient clinic.
This presentation is a combination of her
professional interests for effective behavioral
interventions for patients and the applications
of music. In this presentation, Dr. Chiriboga will
review the earliest benefits of music in healing and
the latest studies in assisting older populations.
