~NTSPP has received a Texas Foundation for Research & Education grant via TSPP for advertising public launch of  its new public service website www.mhaar.org (Mental Health And Addiction Resources) during Mental Illness Awareness Week 2008.  This website for our 12 county region is designed to be the prototype for adoption by TSPP and presentation to APA as a nationwide public resource of all APA chapters with listings for every county in the United States.

~The NTSPP website www.ntspp.org now carries all disaster information for psychiatrists, mental health volunteers and the general public.  Stay posted here, especially if your e-mail server is flooded during a crisis.

~NTSPP ECer Ed Nace MD will give the primary address at the NAMI Interfaith Candlelight Service Tuesday October 7 at 7:00 pm at Holy Trinity Catholic Church.

~Three new energetic, insightful NTSPPers joined the EC in June:  Adam Brenner MD, Carol North MD, and Catherin Roberts MD

~The NTSPP EC has been appointed pro bono advisory counsel to the North Texas Behavioral Health Authority.

~A Meadows Foundation Grant being written currently to support creation of  MHAAR website in order  to set up prototype which can be adopted easily by other APA chapters around the country.  We appreciate the initiative, experience  and hard work which NTSPPer Rob Garrett MD brings to this project.
