- Join the American Psychiatric Association and pay your APA dues.
- Join our APA district branch The Texas Society of Psychiatric Physicians and pay your TSPP dues.
- You are now automatically a member of NTSPP with no chapter benefits.
How to Become an NTSPP Member in Good Standing with Full Benefits
- Pay your NTSPP Chapter Dues (instructions below) (Dues are waived for APA Member Psychiatry Residents and Fellows)
- Fill out the NTSPP Member Information Form and send in.
Benefits of Paying NTSPP Chapter Dues
- a discount at NTSPP dinner programs, which may earn back your dues
- preferential seating at our 4th Thursday dinner programs and meetings
- A listing in our online directory, also linked to our facebook page.
- a hard copy of newsletters if snailmailed out
- voting privileges
- committee/chair/executive council opportunities in an organization with many rewarding activities, opportunities, and resources
- free advertising via email and website for your individual practice advertisement of office space or employment offer/need (see Advertising link for details and prices)
Non-NTSPP Psychiatrists and PGY’s Psychiatrists and psychiatry residents and fellows who are not members of APA and TSPP are welcome at events as space permits at the full dinner program price, usually $50 per 4th Thursday dinner meeting at present location.
Members in Training (PGYs) All psychiatry PGYs are welcome at our meetings. Psychiatrists in training who are APA/TSPP members pay no chapter dues AND may pay nothing for dinners and are preferentially subsidized by ACE donations, while non-APA members in training may pay some or all of the dinner costs, depending on ACE donations. Psychiatrists, please see the ACE Fund page on how to donate to subsidize PGY dinners.
Distinguished Life Fellows Our valued Distinguished Life Fellows have two options: 1) Pay dues and receive discounted dinners, OR 2) Pay full price for dinner programs without paying dues, while retaining all other member privileges.
Chapter Dues Payment for Membership Fiscal Year June 1, 2012 through May 31, 2013: The membership term is from June 1 – May 31. The fee schedule is below. The earlier you pay your dues, the cheaper it is! (For comparison, Harris County dues have been $200.) PLEASE NOTE EARLY BIRD DISCOUNT ENDS JULY 31, 2012!
