Saturday, Business Meeting and Awards Luncheon - Join TSPP in recognizing two dedicated members, Mitchell Jones, MD (Amarillo) and Lynda Parker, MD (Georgetown) with the presentation of the Dr. Spencer Bayles Outstanding TSPP Member Award for their outstanding and consistent participation in TSPP activities.  In addition, the David Pharis Award will be presented by the Department of State Health Services and TSPP to the North Texas State Hospital’s Recovery Model of Care Project to recognize their significant contributions to safety and quality inpatient care and outcomes in State Hospitals.

Saturday, TSPP Awards Reception and Banquet - The Saturday evening 2011 Awards Reception and Banquet will honor this year’s Award Recipients, David Briones, MD (El Paso) Distinguished Service Award; Harris County Judge Ed Emmett (Houston) Special Service Award; Stuart Yudofsky, MD (Houston) Psychiatric Excellence Award and John Hall, MD (Longview) Psychiatric Excellence Award, as well as all TSPP Past Presidents and former Award Recipients.  Immediately following the awards presentation, TSPP, with the assistance of Leslie Secrest, MD have planned an entertaining evening of entertainment, conversation and dancing – so please register and plan to join in the celebratory evening!

Sunday, CME Scientific Program - The program continues with presentations on Understanding Eating Disorders through Neuroimaging and an Overview of the Texas Physician Health Program – Physician Health and Competence (designated for two hours of education in medical ethics and/or professional responsiblity).
