Upon completion of this program attendees should be able to: 1) characterize the spectrum of arousal from adaptive through pathological and how this relates to both the anxiety disorders and performance anxiety; 2) recognize the signs and symptoms of substance abuse and dependence in the clinical population; 3) identify current treatment strategies for the most common anxiety disorders in children and adolescents; 4) identify the types and prevalence of specific psychiatric disorders reported in major studies of disaster survivors.
