ACADEMIC CLINICIANS FOR PSYCHIATRY EMERGENCY SERVICES
The Department of Psychiatry at UT Southwestern Medical Center is recruiting outstanding Psychiatrists to serve as attending psychiatrists in our very busy Psychiatric Emergency Department located in a large affiliated county hospital. We have multiple opportunities for part-time or full-time psychiatrists. These positions include both direct patient care and teaching/supervision of psychiatry, psychology, allied health, and other trainees. Work in the Psych ER can be combined with various clinical, clinical research and academic opportunities to produce a full-time appointment. These are open rank positions and academic rank will be determined by the selected candidates’ qualifications.
Candidates must be BC/BE in General Psychiatry, must have a strong interest in pursuing an academic career and must have a strong interest in community psychiatry. Applicants must have or be able to obtain a Texas Medical license. Residency/Fellowship training in Emergency Psychiatry is ideal but not required. Academic experience and strong track record of clinical teaching is preferred.
