Dear Colleagues, Thanks again for your support of our Tarrant Chapter of TSPP. As planned, our next meeting is coming up! All psychiatrists and psychiatrists in training are invited.
Who: Ken Hopper, M.D.
What: “Economic Issues in Psychiatry”
When: February 16, 2012. 6:30 to approximately 8:30 PM
Where: Private room of a popular Ft Worth restaurant (location available by email)*
How much: The cost of the dinner will be $20 apiece (Tarrant chapter residents eat free). The usual alcoholic beverages available at the restaurant can be purchased separately if desired.
More: Over the last several years, Fort Worth’s own Dr. Ken Hopper has continued to grow his expertise related to models medical business. He will be presenting data that demonstrate trends in the provision and reimbursement of healthcare that are crucial to our understanding of our options for the long-term future. More recently, his interests have taken him into the subject of Medical/Behavioral Integration, a topic with an important role in our professional futures. He is now serving on the APA’s National Workgroup on Medical/Behavioral Integration and will be able to give us an update on this work as well. We anticipate good discussion and good fellowship.
Tarrant Chapter Members only: We hope you have had an opportunity to review the Constitution, Bylaws, and Mission Statements for our organization sent previously. We will be voting by mail soon to adopt these. Officers, we will meet at the restaurant at 5:30, before the meeting, for a planning session and other chapter business. Please try to be there.
