Ken Altshuler MD, Diane Birk MD, Frank Crumley MD, Lacy Edmundson MD, Madeline Harford MD, Ed Nace MD, Les Secrest MD, Rege Stewart MD, Ken Timken MD, and Larry Tripp MD are Distinguished Life Fellows who chose to support our Chapter’s good works fully this past year by paying full chapter dues through May 2010. DLFs are the only APA/TSPP members who enjoy full chapter privileges without paying dues, though we strongly encourage them to do so. Many thanks to you for making our Chapter’s dues-dependent good efforts possible for our profession and for our patients. Here is what they made possible:
Besides ensuring a deep discount at our dinner programs for themselves and a free online directory listing, these special DLFs also made possible:
~Reduced fee dinners for psychiatry residents at our programs
~Public service charitable contributions to NAMI and others
~Support of the NTSPP award to a UTSWMC medical student who shows a great aptitude for psychiatry
~A website which announces all meeting information for NTSPP, Dallas Area Women Psychiatrists, and the Tarrant Chapter of TSPP and serves to post important nonprofit mental health programs and information for the professional and for the general public through the website and through our Facebook presence www.ntspp.org
~A public service website in development unique for the area which will achieve full operational status in Fall 2010 www.mhaar.org
We thank all DLFs for their important contributions to our profession. We appreciate the financial support of those able to continue the good work through NTSPP even now! As you know, except for a webmaster, your dues go 100% to good works, due to our NTSPP “staff” of volunteer psychiatrists.
