*The Patient You Never Saw*   Martha E. Leatherman MD,    President of Texas Society of Psychiatric Physicians NTSPP Note: Dr. Leatherman is our state psychiatry society President , perennial Government Affairs Chair and chief volunteer psychiatrist lobbyist in Austin for our important legislative issues on behalf of patients. Hope you can hear and speak to her at this Grand Rounds. We appreciate the invitation of host Professor Paul Mohl MD, UTSWMC Psychiatry Residency Director & Grand Rounds Director, which made possible this Grand Rounds. Let’s convey to Dr. Leatherman both our local pride in our public mental health system given the restrictions in funding along with our great concerns about both the absolute level and equitable distribution of this funding to our area and its use on behalf of public mental health patient care. Let’s learn from her what is happening and what we can work to make happen in Austin in the near future.
